An award-winning producer, director and writer, Heidi brings her varied experiences and talents to her work as president of Float Films.

Her award-winning work spans from public service announcements for children’s health to an adventure travel series to a slice-of-life short drama. She also worked in the camera department of many television series, films, commercials and music videos. Heidi once worked on a stunt unit headed up by Robert Redford’s stunt double (remember the final scene where Redford jumps off the cliff – that’s the man she worked with!). She also once worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s stunt double on a children’s show.

Now, when she’s behind the camera, she is usually directing the efforts of a beautiful flower or a floating leaf or tracking clouds flowing across the sky. However, as you know, flowers, leaves and clouds don’t respond too well to direction. And that is part of the zen approach that Heidi is enjoying so much in her new endeavor.

“It is so inspiring to go out into nature and just look, just see what there is to see and respond to that, finding the perfect shot, then going back into the edit suite to pull it all together into a cohesive and flowing whole,” says Heidi.

It is with this spirit of spiritual adventure that all of Float Films videos are put together and future ones are being planned. The future holds:

·        Finishing the Flow series with Flow.Spring and Flow.Winter

·        Creating Sacred Spaces – a series featuring the breathtaking holy places around the world

·        Creating Jog and Walk – a series for the athlete so that even in the middle of winter or a rainstorm, you can experience the feeling of working out in nature

Heidi loves every step of the process: from working with her son on shooting the videos, to editing, to selling the DVDs online and in stores, to creating the next round, and, of course, to getting feedback from all of Float Films’ viewers with suggestions for new and better videos.
